The study of Tamarix Vegetation covers in association with Edaphical and Physiographical conditions of habitant
The First International Conferense of IALE-Iran
ABSTRACT:
Tamarix can tolerate any soil restrictions such as Saline & Alkaline, low field capacity, inappropriate texture, erosion resistance and even extreme whether condition. It can put up with arid and semiarid regions' climate well and can become compatible with such conditions. The study area is Chadegan watershed. In this study, 4 sampling was carried out randomly by considering 4 plots with 400 m2 and the canopy area was reported for each plot. Also, in each 400 m2 plot, 4 plot of 10 m2 area was considered for companion plants and finally mean percentages of companion species' vegetation cover were measured and reported. To measure soil factors, 4 soil profiles were dug with respectively 0-20, 20-40, and 40-60 meters deep. Then some factors such as PH, EC,%SP. Total Ca2+ and Mg2+, SAR, ESP, %Caco3, O.M, %Caso4, pb, %TN, P3-, %Sand, %Clay and Clay were measured in soil laboratory. These tree mentioned deeps were averaged in order to analysis the data. It is used RDA technique and CANOCO software in this study. The results suggest that among soil factors, Tamarix have positive and high correlation with %Gravel, %Caco3,Ph,SP, EC and % SiltThere is, also, a high correlation between Tamarix and slope factor as a one of physiographic factors. But sea level has less effect on vegetation of this kind of species. Other soil factor including %Sand, P3-, %TN, soluble k+, pb, , %Caso4, %Clay, O.M and Total Ca2+ and Mg2+ and canopy area of Tamarix represent negative correlation.
